2019 Commitment to Kids Toy Drive Benefit
Groups like the Empire Center, National Right to Work Foundation, and others funded by corporations and rich CEOs are going to try to trick you into giving up your rights. They’ve succeeded in getting the Supreme Court to side with them in the recent Janus decision in their attempts to weaken our ability to protect our rights, but they won’t stop there. Expect them to contact you in an effort to convince you to give up wages, health care, and pensions by giving up your union power. Read on.....
We would like to give a big thank you to our Local 856 for their generous donation, Howard Baul our LRS and all of our members that contributed to this years toy drive.
Despite a pandemic, we were able to bring a truck FULL of toys to the Bloomington Fire House to benefit Commitment to Kids.
The Commitment to Kids Committee would like to thank all of our brothers and sisters for the toys collected for our toy drive to benefit Commitment to Kids. We would also like to thank our Local 856 for their generous donation to our toy drive. 459 toys were picked up from our county worksites on November 22nd and delivered to the Bloomington Firehouse on December 1st. The toys collected stay in Ulster County and benefit children and families in our own communities. Thank you to all of you!
